History

Manor Music Services was set up by Chris and Laura McGinity, two working music teachers with substantial experience of both private and school teaching, who teach a large number of pupils, from beginners to Grade 8 standard and beyond, and using the syllabus of both the Associated Board and TrinityGuildhall.

Growing from that, Manor Music Services provided a visiting teacher service, covering a wide range of instruments.

From early beginnings, Chris and Laura set up Finchley Music School, with just two music courses, a Keyboard course and Guitar course. Since then further courses have been added, so the school can now teach keyboard and piano to children as young as 4.

However, its not just music lessons that Chris and Laura are involved in! Learning an instrument can be just the first step to a lifetime of music, and both are keen practicing musicians, most particularly involved in forming the award winning Phoenix Concert Band in which Laura plays, and Chris is Musical Director.
