Many people have keyboards these days, and our keyboard courses are designed to get the most out of modern keyboards. To do this, we went for top end keyboards to use in our courses: Junior Play Keyboard is the ideal course for the younger student, aged 6/7 upwards, and uses the same material as our junior play piano course. In the early stages, this course concentrates on developing essential musical skills, especially listening and aural skills to give the student the best possible start to their musical life. As the course progresses, the emphasis moves to performance, with the emphasis on piano, while learning a wide range of performance skills. In the early stages of the course, there are achievement tests that students can take, so parents can see how much progress they are making. Eventually, students are able to transfer to the Play Keyboard course to continue their musical education. Play Keyboard is the ideal course for those who want to learn the keyboard in a fun and creative environment. Working in a group of up to ten students, you will have the additional advantage of being able to learn to play in a band, as well as solo. Whether you're nine or ninety, in this course you'll find it's never too late to discover the fun of music-making. Play Keyboard course material uses the Trinity College exam syllabus and will take the student from beginner to Grade 8 standard. It encompasses a broad range of musical genres, with a focus on popular music from the Rock & Roll era to the present day. We make sure you get to learn the styles of music you want to be able to play, so there's never been a better time to learn to play the keyboard! |
